【摘要】:Note18212;ThisguideisconsistentwithNACEStandardRP0497.Observationsanddataderivedfromcorrosiontestingareusedtodeterminetheaveragerateofcorrosionorothertypesofattack,orboth(seeTerminologyG15),thatoccurduringtheexposureinterval.Thedatamaybeusedaspartofanevaluationofcandidatematerialsofconstructionforuseinsimilarserviceorforreplacementmaterialsinexistingfacilities.Thedatadevelopedfromin-planttestsmayalsobeusedasguidelinestothebehaviorofexistingplantmaterialsforthepurposeofschedulingmaintenanceandrepairs.Corrosionratedataderivedfromasingleexposuregenerallydonotprovideinformationoncorrosionratechangeversustime.Corrosionratesmayincrease,decrease,orremainconstant,dependingonthenatureofthecorrosionproductsandtheeffectsofincubationtimerequiredattheonsetofpittingorcrevicecorrosion.1.1Thisguidecoversproceduresforconductingcorrosiontestsinplantequipmentorsystemsunderoperatingconditionstoevaluatethecorrosionresistanceofengineeringmaterials.Itdoesnotcoverelectrochemicalmethodsfordeterminingcorrosionrates.1.1.1Whileintendedprimarilyforimmersiontests,generalguidelinesprovidedcanbeapplicableforexposureoftestspecimensinplantatmospheres,providedthatplacementandorientationofthetestspecimensisnon-restrictivetoaircirculation.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Seealso10.4.2.

【摘要】:AcceptanceTesting8212;Thismethodoftestingfabricsforresistancetopillingisnotrecommendedforacceptancetesting.Ifitisusedforacceptancetesting,itshouldbeusedwithcautionbecausethebetween-laboratoryprecisionispoor.Insomecasesthepurchaserandthesuppliermayhavetotestacommercialshipmentofoneormorespecificmaterialsbythebestavailabletestmethod,eventhoughthetestmethodisnotrecommendedforacceptancetesting.Iftherearedifferencesorpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,thetestsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Thepillingoftextilefabricsisaverycomplexpropertybecauseitisaffectedbymanyfactorswhichmayincludetypeoffiberorblends,fiberdimensions,yarnandfabricconstruction,fabricfinishingtreatmentsandrefurbishingmethod.Testingbeforerefurbishingmaybeadviseable.Thepillingresistanceofaspecificfabricinactualwearvariesmorewithgeneralconditionsofuseandindividualwearersthaninreplicatefabricspecimenssubjectedtocontrolledlaboratorytests.Thisexperienceshouldbeborneinmindwhenadoptinglevelsofacceptabilityforanyseriesofstandards.Pillsvaryappreciablyinsizeandappearanceanddependonthepresenceoflintanddegreeofcolorcontrast.Thesefactorsarenotevaluatedwhenpillingisratedsolelyonthenumberofpills.Thedevelopmentofpillsmaybeaccompaniedbyothersurfacephenomenasuchaslossofcover,colorchange,orthedevelopmentoffuzz.Sincetheoverallacceptabilityofaspecificfabricisdependentonboththecharacteristicsofthepillsandtheotherfactorsaffectingsurfaceappearance,itissuggestedthatfabricstestedinthelaboratorybeevaluatedsubjectivelywithregardtotheiracceptabilityandnotratedsolelyonthenumberofpillsdeveloped.Aseriesofstandards,basedongraduateddegreesofsurfacechangeofthefabrictypebeingtested,maybesetuptoprovideabasisforsubjectiveratings.Thevisualstandardsaremostadvantageouswhenthelaboratorytestspecimenscorrelatecloselyinappearancewithwornfabricsandshowasimilarratioofpillstofuzz.Countingthepillsandweighingtheirnumberwithrespecttotheirsizeandcontrast,asacombinedmeasureofpillingresistance,isnotrecommendedbecauseoftheexcessivetimerequiredforcounting,sizing,andcalculating.Thedegreeoffabricpillingisevaluatedbycomparingthetestedspecimenswithvisualstandards,whichmaybeactualfabricsorphotographsoffabrics,showingarangeofpillingresistance.Theobservedresistancetopillingisreportedonanarbitraryscalerangingfrom5(nopilling)to1(veryseverepilling).Thistestmethodisapplicabletoawidevarietyofwovenandknittedfabricsthatvaryinpillingpropensityasaresultofvariationsinfiber,yarnandfabricstructure,andfinish.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheresistancetotheformationofpillsandotherrelatedsurfacechangesontextilefabricsusingtherandomtumblepillingtester.Theprocedureisgenerallyapplicable......
