【摘要】:Thispracticedescribesonemethodforacceleratedweatheringofpressure-sensitivetapesusedprimarilyforpackaging.Itisnotintendedforevaluationtheweatheringcharacteristicsofpressure-sensitivetapesusedinlong-termoutdoorexposureconditions(seePracticeD5105).Thispracticedoesnotnecessarilyprovidedirectsimulationofnaturalexposure.Resultsfromuseofthispracticeshallnotberepresentedasbeingequivalenttothoseofanynaturalweatheringtestuntilasatisfactorydegreeofcorrelationhasbeenestablishedforthematerialinquestion.VariationinresultsarepossiblewhenoperatingconditionsvarywithinacceptedlimitsfortheinstrumentspecifiedinPracticesG151andG155.1.1Thispracticedescribesoneenvironmentfortheexposureofpressure-sensitivetape,usedprimarilyforpackaging,toalaboratoryacceleratedweatheringenvironment.1.2Thispracticedescribessamplepreparationandtheacceleratedenvironmenttowhichitshallbeexposed.Itdoesnotspecifythelengthoftimeoftheexposurenorwhattestsshallbeperformedonthematerialfollowingtheexposure.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
