【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinevaluatingthedegreetowhichagreasewouldseparateintofluidandsolidcomponentswhensubjectedtohighcentrifugalforces.Flexibleshaftcouplings,universaljoints,androllingelementthrustbearingsareexamplesofmachinerywhichsubjectlubricatinggreasestolargeandprolongedcentrifugalforces.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundtogiveresultsthatcorrelatewellwithresultsfromactualservice.Thetestmethodmayberunatotherconditionswithagreementbetweenpartiesbuttheprecisionnotedinthistestmethodwillnolongerapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthetendencyoflubricatinggreasetoseparateoilwhensubjectedtohighcentrifugalforces.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
