【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardprovidesascheduleoftablesrelatingtoaltitudes,airspeedsandMachnumbersforuseinaeronauticalinstrumentdesignandcalibration.Thesizeofthetableshavebeenrestrictedandtheunitsusedforthevariousparametershavebeenkepttoaminimum,namely,altitudeingeopotentialfeet,pressuresinmillibarsandinchesofmercury,airspeedinknots,andtemperatureindegreesCelsius.NOTEAltitudemeasurementsarebasedonthegeopotentialfoot,and,inspeedmeasurementswherethe'knot'isinvolved,thisistakentomeanoneinternationalnauticalmileperhour.
